“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.” — 2 Corinthians 4:16
As we get older, our bodies begin to change. Muscles ache more easily. Hair turns gray or grows thinner. Vision and hearing may not be as sharp as they once were. On one hand, this is a normal part of life. On another, it can stir fear; especially when a loved one’s illness or passing left a lasting imprint on our hearts.
Sometimes the body reminds us of loss before the mind catches up.
Yet I’ve also noticed something hopeful. More stories are being shared about men and women living well beyond 89 years old; still enjoying life. Their wisdom is often simple: stretch and move your body, avoid strife, forgive quickly, laugh often, serve where you can, do what you love, and eat what nourishes you.

Everyone’s body is different. Everyone’s journey is unique.
But the common denominator is mindset; and the quiet work of God within us.
God meets us where we are, renewing our hearts and minds day by day.
Let’s pursue peace.
And let’s allow God to renew us; inside and out.

This is for the person who is grieving quietly, carrying trauma, or healing from losses that were never fully spoken. I remember the moment when my own world collapsed; losing loved ones back-to-back, losing the home I shared memories in with my father, losing stability, and losing pieces of myself I didn’t know how to recover. What I didn’t know then was that writing, music, faith, and therapy would become the pathway God used to rebuild me from the inside out. That’s why I created The Quiet Cry Project; a safe place for weary hearts to breathe, feel, and be restored. Your next gentle step is simply to enter this space and receive the comfort God has for you. - Sheila
